PotPlayer supports various subtitle formats, text subtitles (SMI and SRT), DVD (Vobsub), and Blu-ray subtitles, ASS/SSA animation and SMI Ruby tags, etc. It also supports Open Codec so users can easily add whatever codecs they want. No need to install different codecs all the time when using the player.

GOM Player

GOM Player’s skinable interface and advanced filter controls make it highly customization, allowing users to personalize their experience to fit their needs. Another significant feature is that where it can’t play the audio or video of a media file natively, it will try to find an appropriate external codec which will play that file format, using the format’s GUID, a unique identifier for the required codec. MPC-BE

MPC-BE is a fork of MPC and MPC-HC. It moved away from MPC’s aim to mimic the look and feel of Windows Media Player with updated player controls and provides additional features on top of MPC-HC such as Seekbar Previews. Almost all functions also have support for Hot-Key tasks, if you don’t like using the mouse too much.

MPC-HC

MPC-HC updates the original player and adds many useful functionalities including the option to remove tearing, additional video decoders (in particular H.264, VC-1 and MPEG-2 with DirectX Video Acceleration support), Enhanced Video Renderer support, and multiple bug fixes. There is also a 64 bit-version for the various Windows x64 platforms. In order to run MPC-HC you must have an SSE2-capable CPU. MPC-HC will work on Windows XP Service Pack 3, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, both 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64).
